In 1946, COFACE is created as an insurance company specialized in export credit insurance, managing its own products and French government export gurantees. In 1988, Coface extends its product range to company information and receivables management. In 1994, Coface is privatized.
In 1999, Coface extends its product range to include factoring.
In 2000, Coface enhances
its ‘information’ line by enhancing rating:the first worldwide , insurable credit rating system.
Thanks to the worldwide local service delivered by 6,000 staff in 65 countries, over 45% of the world’s 500 largest corporate groups are already customers
of Coface.
